A Brampton homeowner is recovering in hospital after being shot during a break-in early Thursday morning.
Peel Regional Police say the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. at a residence near Springview Drive and Silkwood Crescent, just east of McLaughlin Road.
According to investigators, two unidentified suspects allegedly entered the home through a window.
Responding officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and he was rushed to a trauma Centre with non-life-threatening injuries. He remains in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
