The Ontario government has passed Bill 60, pushing it through an expedited legislative process amid strong opposition. The bill clears the way  for sweeping changes that critics say could reshape tenant protections and municipal decision-making across the province. The government says this was introduced to increase the speed of the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) and reduce case processing times. However, housing advocates and legal clinics are warning that there is an existing backlog of thousands of cases, which has caused tenants to wait months for justice. Critics believe that Bill 60 will accelerate evictions, increasing the risk of homelessness and encampments, especially for low-income and vulnerable tenants. To have a better understanding of these specific provisions of  Bill 60 , RED FM Toronto interviewed  Amarjot Sandhu ,MPP Ontario West . He also briefly discussed Andrew’s law .
