Police have charged a woman in connection with a series of alleged thefts from homes in Aurora and say there may be additional victims.
York Regional Police say the investigation began on Feb. 22, 2026, after officers responded to a theft report at a residence in Aurora. The victims told police they had hired a nanny in 2025 and later discovered several pieces of jewelry and a large amount of Canadian currency were allegedly missing.
Police say two more victims came forward on March 6 and 7, reporting that jewelry and cash had been stolen from their home also. In that case, the suspect had been hired through a social media platform to clean the house.
On March 10, police arrested 36-year-old Jessie Goulet of Whitchurch-Stouffville in connection with the incidents.
She is facing three counts each of theft over $5,000 and possession of property over $5,000.
Investigators have released images of the accused and believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
