Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate two suspected arsons at the same unoccupied home in Mississauga earlier this year.
Investigators with the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau say emergency crews were first called to a house fire on Jan. 26 in the area of Watersedge Road and Country Club Crescent. Authorities later determined the blaze had been intentionally set, causing significant damage to the property. The home was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.
Police say the same residence was targeted again on March 8, when a second fire was deliberately set. No injuries were reported in that incident either. Investigators believe both fires were targeted acts of arson.
Police have identified a suspect vehicle connected to the incidents as a white Honda CR-V. The suspect is described as a man wearing a blue hoodie with a white emblem, black pants and black shoes with white soles.
