Toronto Police Service is asking for the public’s help locating a suspect wanted in connection with a forcible confinement investigation in the city.
According to the Toronto Police Service, officers responded to a call for a suspicious incident on Friday, March 6, 2026, at about 9:30 a.m. in the area of Pelham Avenue and Laughton Avenue.
Investigators say a man was seen driving a vehicle with a woman in the passenger seat screaming for help. Police say that it was also reported that the woman had injuries. The vehicle left the area before officers arrived.
Police say the vehicle involved is a red 2010 Mazda CX-7 with an Ontario licence plate DJPN 971 and a missing rear-view mirror.
Investigators have identified the driver as Jimmy Minani, 47, of Toronto. He is wanted on charges of forcible confinement and assault. Police have released an image of the suspect.
