A 28-year-old Toronto man is facing several firearm-related charges after police seized two handguns during a search warrant in the city’s east end.
The Toronto Police Service says officers from the Firearm Enforcement Unit began an investigation into the alleged possession of firearms. As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the Sheppard Avenue East and Warden Avenue area on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Police allege that during the search, officers located and seized a 9mm prohibited semi-automatic handgun loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition. Investigators also found a legally registered 9mm semi-automatic handgun that was not secured in accordance with firearm storage regulations.
Images of the seized firearms and ammunition have been released by police.

Sheraz Khan, 28, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited device.
He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on March 4, 2026.
