Man injured in early-morning stabbing near Wellesley and Bleecker streets

Toronto police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the city’s downtown core early this morning. 

Officers responded to a call at approximately 12:13 a.m. in the area of Wellesley Street and Bleecker Street. When they arrived, they located a male victim suffering from stab wounds. 

Police say there was an interaction between the victim and one or more suspects inside the lobby area of an apartment building prior to the stabbing. 

The victim, a man in his 30s, was transported to hospital with injuries that have been determined to be non-life-threatening. 

No suspect information has been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5100.
