Two men are facing drug trafficking charges after border officers discovered more than 111 kilograms of suspected cocaine inside a commercial truck entering Canada from the United States.
The seizure occurred on Feb. 19, 2026, when a transport truck arriving at the Blue Water Bridge port of entry was directed to secondary inspection by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). During a detailed examination of the trailer, officers located and confiscated 111.4 kilograms of suspected cocaine.
Authorities arrested 29-year-old Sarkaren Vir Singh of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and 25-year-old Chamkaur Singh of Belleville, Ontario. The accused, along with the seized narcotics, were handed over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for further investigation.
Both individuals have been charged with importation of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The case is now before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia. As with all criminal matters, the charges have not been proven in court.
The CBSA says the seizure is part of a broader trend of enforcement activity in the region. Since Jan. 1, 2025, officers in the agency’s Southern Ontario Region have intercepted 1,743 kilograms of cocaine entering Canada from the United States.
