Toronto police said in a social media post this morning that a serious stabbing in the city’s east end has left a man in critical condition.
Officers were called to an apartment near Queen Street East and Logan Avenue at approximately 8:27 a.m.
Police reported that a man in his 60s suffered life-threatening injuries in the stabbing incident. He was transported to hospital for treatment. A woman in her 30s has been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing.
Investigators have not yet released further details about the circumstances leading up to the attack, and the investigation remains ongoing.
A heavy police presence was seen in the area throughout the morning. There were some road closures in the area. Roads have since reopened. Police is investigating the incident.
