A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday evening around 7 p.m. in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police reported that the incident occurred in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Stavebank Road. The victim, believed to be in their 70s, was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition but later died from their injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. It is reported that the pedestrian was crossing Lakeshore Road midblock from north to south when he were struck.
PRP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and has urged anyone with information to come forward.
