A 19-year-old female pedestrian was critically injured in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Thursday in Markham.
York Regional Police shared information on X that the collision happened around 3:41 p.m. yesterday in the area of Denison Street and Featherstone Avenue. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the incident. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road.
Police say that the pedestrian was heading north on Featherstone Avenue and crossing Denison Street when she was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. Police believe the suspect vehicle is a dark blue sedan with silver trim around the windows. The injured woman was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
