Suspect sought in alleged assaults in Yonge Street and Parkview Avenue area

Toronto police are asking for the public’s assistance as they investigate a series of unprovoked assaults in the city’s Yonge Street and Parkview Avenue area. 

According to Toronto Police Service, the incidents occurred on Friday, February 6, 2026, at approximately 5:12 p.m. A woman was walking northbound when a male suspect approached her from the opposite direction. As he passed by, the suspect allegedly moved close to the woman and struck her on the back of the head without any provocation. He then continued walking southbound. 

Police say that while the woman was on the phone with a police dispatcher reporting the incident, she witnessed the same suspect allegedly strike another woman as he passed her on the street. Investigators have confirmed that all parties involved are unknown to one another. Both women sustained minor injuries as a result of the assaults. 

The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, between 25 and 35 years old, with a black moustache. At the time of the incidents, he was wearing a black toque, a blue winter jacket, black pants, and red, black, and white shoes. 

An image of the suspect has been released by police. Authorities say they are concerned there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
