Arrests made in a firearms investigation

Toronto Police Service has arrested and charged two suspects following a firearms-related investigation. 

According to a police news release, investigators executed a search warrant on January 31, 2026, in the area of Cosburn Avenue and Woodbine Avenue in Toronto. During the search, police seized a loaded Glock 17, 9mm firearm along with a quantity of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. 

Kyanoush Rezaei, 34, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, possession of a prohibited device, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession contrary to a prohibition order.

Pegah Seddighi, 33, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, possession of a prohibited device, and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. She was also scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at 10 Armoury Street on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in courtroom 107. 

Police have released an image in connection with the investigation.
