Hamilton police are searching for three suspects in connection with an armed robbery at a Cash for Gold store on Hamilton Mountain.
The incident took place at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, at 1119 Fennell Avenue East. According to police, three masked suspects, armed with weapons and crowbars, forced entry into the store by breaking through multiple doors at the rear of the building. At the time of the robbery, one employee was inside the store.
A fourth suspect is believed to have been waiting in a vehicle outside.
Police say the suspects stole gold, silver, and cash before fleeing the scene in a dark-coloured SUV. Portions of the incident were captured on video.
The suspects are described as three Black males. Suspect 1 is approximately 6’4″ tall with a thin to medium build. Suspect 2 is about 5’10” tall with a heavy build, and Suspect 3 is also about 5’10” tall with a medium build.
Investigators have released images and video of the suspects and are asking the public to assist with identifying those involved. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact Hamilton Police.
