Toronto police have charged two 17-year-old youths in connection with a reported robbery that occurred earlier this month.
In a news release, police said the incident happened on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in the area of Kingston Road and Victoria Park Avenue in Toronto. Investigators allege that a victim was walking along the sidewalk when two suspects approached and assaulted the individual. The suspects are accused of stealing the victim’s jacket before fleeing the scene.
One of the youths has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, and uttering threats. The second youth faces charges of robbery and disguise with intent. The identities of the accused cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Both youths are scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 10 Armoury Street, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., in courtroom 604.
