Woman hospitalized after stabbing in downtown Toronto; Suspect at Large

Toronto police are investigating a stabbing reported in the Queen Street West and Bathurst Street area late Wednesday afternoon. 

According to Toronto Police Service, officers were called to the scene at approximately 4:03 p.m. following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police located a female victim suffering from stab wounds. 

The victim was treated at the scene and transported to hospital by Toronto Paramedic Services. Police say the extent of her injuries is not known at this time. 

Investigators say the suspect fled the area before officers arrived. The suspect is described as a white female in her 30s, approximately 5’6” to 5’7” tall, with a medium build and short blond hair. At the time of the incident, she was reportedly wearing a black jacket and black running shoes. 

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact Toronto police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
