A Brampton man has been charged after police say he was observed driving a truck with missing tires in St. Catharines early Tuesday morning.
In a social media post shared Tuesday, Ontario Provincial Police said officers received a complaint at approximately 3:03 a.m. about a bobtail truck travelling Toronto-bound on QEW in St. Catharines with missing tires. Police have also shared images of the truck.
Officers from the OPP Burlington detachment located the truck shortly afterward and stopped it near Casablanca Boulevard in Grimsby.
Police said when an officer approached the driver to speak with him, the driver was in the process of completing his daily inspection report.
A 36-year-old man from Brampton was charged with operating an unsafe commercial motor vehicle, driving a commercial motor vehicle with a major defect, and failing to ensure that a daily inspection report was accurately completed.
