Two arrested after stabbing near Gerrard and Yonge

Toronto police are investigating a stabbing that occurred late Tuesday morning near the intersection of Gerrard Street and Yonge Street. 

Officers were called to the area at approximately 10:26 a.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police located two people suffering from injuries. 

Toronto Police Service says both individuals were arrested at the scene. One person was transported to hospital by emergency crews with injuries that have not been described. 

Investigators confirm there are no outstanding suspects and believe the incident is contained. The circumstances leading up to the stabbing have not yet been released. 

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Toronto police.
