Multi-vehicle collision at lower Jarvis Street and Lake Shore Boulevard cleared, roads reopen

A multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Lower Jarvis Street and Lake Shore Boulevard caused significant traffic disruptions during the Tuesday morning commute. 

Toronto police say they were called to the scene at around 8:40 a.m. after reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles. Airbags deployed in several vehicles, and the extent of injuries and cause of crash were initially unknown. 

Following the collision, northbound Lake Shore Boulevard was closed at Jarvis Street, and the eastbound Jarvis Street on-ramp was also shut down, leading to delays in the area. 

In an Update Police confirm the scene has now been cleared and all affected roads have reopened to traffic. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution as traffic conditions continue to normalize.
