Three Brampton residents arrested in organized auto crime investigation; stolen vehicles recovered

Investigators with the Commercial Auto Crime Bureau have arrested three individuals from Brampton in connection with an organized auto crime group and recovered three stolen vehicles. 

Police say the investigation   began in December 2025 and focused on a network allegedly involved in multiple stolen vehicles, stolen tractor trailers, and auto-related fraud. The probe culminated on Jan. 8, 2026, when officers executed a search warrant at a Brampton residence. 

During the search, investigators recovered three previously reported stolen vehicles, all fitted with fraudulent Ontario licence plates. 

As a result of the investigation, Police arrested the following individuals  

Amritpal Khattra (28) charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime; Possession of Counterfeit Mark (two counts); Fail to Comply with Release Order; Fail to Comply with Probation Order; Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle; Theft Under $5,000; Possession of Break-In Instruments; Theft of Motor Vehicle; Break and Enter. 

Gurtas Bhullar (33), charged with Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle; Possession of Break-In Instruments; Fail to Comply with Release Order; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime; Theft of Motor Vehicle; Break and Enter. 

Mandeep Kaur (32) , charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime; Possession of Counterfeit Mark. 

Khattra and Bhullar were held pending a bail hearing, while Kaur was released on an undertaking with conditions. Police noted that at the time of their arrests, Khattra and Bhullar were already subject to court-imposed release orders related to property offences.
