Health Canada says that STIHL Limited’s 2,750 backpack blowers are being recalled in Canada due to a possible laceration hazard. In its recall notice, Health Canada stated that an injury risk exists because of a molding defect in the fan wheel. These units were sold between June 2025 and November 2025.

“Immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to your servicing STIHL dealer for inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the fan wheel.” Health Canada suggested in the recall notice

The affected models were originally manufactured in the United States, and the following models are being recalled:

Model: BR 800 C-E Z Magnum, Material Number: 4283-011-1601, Serial Number: 546814154 – 547451772

Model: BR 800 X-Z Magnum, Material Number: 4283-011-1611, Serial Number: 546911615 – 547689841

“Consumers should immediately stop using any STIHL BR 800 Backpack Blower affected by this recall and return it to their preferred servicing STIHL dealer for inspection (and replacement, if necessary) of the fan wheel.”, the agency further said.

As of December 17, 2025, the company has received no reports of injury in Canada
