Peel police make three arrests in multiple carjackings in Peel region

Peel Regional Police have arrested three individuals, including two teenagers, in connection with several carjacking incidents in the Peel Region. Police said that on December 10 at around 8:40 p.m., a suspicious vehicle with three masked suspects deliberately rear-ended a newer-model BMW SUV in the area of Humberwest Parkway and Queen Street East in Brampton. The victim got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle was later found damaged and unoccupied. 

On December 13 at around 5:20 p.m., in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Ridgeway Drive in Mississauga, three suspects approached a victim with a knife. After taking the victim’s keys, they fled in the vehicle. Sometime later, the stolen vehicle was involved in a collision on Highway 403. The suspects were seen fleeing in the vehicle that had been stolen in the first carjacking. 

Later on December 13, officers spotted a suspect vehicle in the area of Dundas Street West and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Mississauga. Occupants were wearing masks and gloves. Investigators arrested and charged three suspects at that location. Police arrested and charged 18-year-old Tayvien Coley of Toronto, a 16-year-old youth from Mississauga, and a 16-year-old youth from Brampton.
