Three arrested in ongoing Scarborough vehicle vandalism and theft investigation

Toronto police have arrested three men in connection with an ongoing investigation into multiple incidents of mischief to vehicles and theft from vehicles in Scarborough’s Eglinton East neighbourhood. 

The Toronto Police Service said 43 Division officers received numerous reports beginning in October 2025 involving damaged vehicle windows and property stolen from parked cars. In mid-November 2025, investigators, with assistance from 41 Division, launched a coordinated investigation into the incidents. 

Police allege that throughout October and November 2025, the suspects damaged several vehicles and removed property from inside. As a result of the investigation, officers were able to identify and arrest three individuals. 

Those charged include: 

Clifford Long, 47, of Toronto,  is charged with 13 counts of Mischief Under $5,000 and two counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 14, 2026. 

Ronald Hulme, 40, of Toronto, is charged with 13 counts of Mischief Under $5,000, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Fail to Comply with a Release Order, and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 19, 2025. 

Albert Redcliffe, 48, of Toronto,is charged with six counts of Theft Under $5,000, nine counts of Mischief Under $5,000, two counts of Attempt Theft Under $5,000, and Fail to Comply with Probation. He was scheduled to appear in court on December 10, 2025. 

Investigators believe there may be additional victims within the area bounded by Lawrence Avenue East, Brimley Road, Kingston Road, and Markham Road.
