Toronto police are investigating a stabbing that took place Tuesday afternoon near Danforth Avenue and Main Street.
Officers were called to the area around 2:11 p.m. after reports of a stabbing. When they arrived, they found a male victim with stab wounds. He was transported to hospital by Toronto paramedics. His injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
Police say the suspect fled before officers arrived. He is described as a Black male, approximately six feet tall, with dreadlocks, and was possibly wearing a green or black jacket. He was last seen heading eastbound from Danforth Avenue and Main Street.
Investigators are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage from the area to contact police. Updates are expected as the investigation continues.
