York Regional Police have charged an unregistered massage therapist in connection with two alleged sexual assaults involving the same woman in Toronto and Markham.
According to investigators, the first incident occurred on August 12, 2025, when the victim visited the suspect’s residence in the area of Rosemount Avenue and Via Italia in Toronto for a massage. Following the session, the suspect began to touch the victim for a sexual purpose.
The second incident took place on September 1, 2025, at a swim club near Woodbine Avenue and Highway 407 in Markham, where the victim encountered the same man again. During their conversation, the suspect allegedly pulled her close and touched her inappropriately. The woman later contacted police on September 6 to report the assaults. She told investigators she knew the man by the name “Sam.”
Police say the accused is not a registered massage therapist , meaning he is not authorized to practice or advertise as one.
Investigators have charged 49-year-old Quoc Vinh Tran of Toronto with two counts of sexual assault. The charges have not been proven in court.

Authorities believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to contact the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau or reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
