Toronto Police Service has arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault that allegedly occurred last week in the city’s east end.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault in the area of Pape Avenue and Danforth Avenue. According to investigators, the incident took place after a food delivery order was placed by the victim.

Police allege that the accused, who was working as a food delivery person at the time, met the victim in the lobby of a residential building where the order was to be picked up. It was there, investigators say, that the victim was sexually assaulted.

The accused, identified as Anwar Miah, 49, of Toronto, has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault. He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre.

Police have released an image of the accused, expressing concern that there may be additional victims. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 416-808-5500, or reach Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
