Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau of Peel Regional Police have arrested two men in connection with firearm and drug-related offences. A 54-year-old man from Brampton and a 50-year-old man from Mississauga were taken into custody following the investigation.
On Sunday, August 17, 2025, shortly after 10:30 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Derry Road East and Goreway Drive in Mississauga. During the stop, they discovered a quantity of drugs and a loaded Glock 27 .40 calibre firearm equipped with an extended magazine.
As a result of the investigation, Reginald John Walker faces several charges Including;
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm, etc. Contrary to Order X3
- Have Care and Control of Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
Walker was held for a bail hearing and subsequently appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
