Four more arrested in Project Poppie investigation, three suspects still at large

The Toronto Police Service has announced that four more people have been arrested in the Project Poppie investigation, bringing the total to 88 charges laid. So far, 36 arrests have been made in the case, while three suspects remain at large.

The investigation is connected to a shooting incident that took place on November 11, 2024, in the area of Queen Street West and Sudbury Street, in which gunfire was exchanged between both parties, and unmarked police vehicles were also targeted. Following the incident, several firearms were recovered, some of which had been modified to be fully automatic.

On July 24, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the OPP Rope Squad arrested four wanted individuals in Mississauga and seized two firearms. Those arrested include an 18-year-old male (name withheld under YCJA), Caleb Odulate Stewart (25), Noah Belnavis-Essue (19), and Dylano Williams (25). They face numerous serious charges, including Possession of a Loaded Regulated Firearm, Possess Prohibited Device, Possess Property Obtained by Crime, Breach of Probation, and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.

Police are still searching for three other wanted suspects: Mohamud Kheyre (28) of Brampton, Olad Olad (25) of Toronto, and Johnary Walker (19) of Brampton. They are wanted for various firearm-related offences, breaches of release orders, and possession of prohibited weapons. Police have released their photographs along with details of their height, weight, and appearance.
