Toronto Police hunt suspects in festival robbery and stabbing

Toronto police is  appealing for the public’s help in identifying suspects following a robbery and stabbing in Scarborough. 

The incident occurred on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at approximately 11:03 p.m. in the area of Finch Avenue East and Morningside Avenue. Police say two victims were attending a nearby festival when they were confronted by a group of six or seven suspects who attempted to rob them. 

During the confrontation, one suspect allegedly stabbed both victims with an edged weapon. An 18 year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while a 38-year-old man was also hospitalized with non life threatening injuries. 

The suspects were last seen running eastbound along Finch Avenue East.
