Vehicle set on fire in Vaughan; Police search for suspects

York Regional Police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects involved in a vehicle arson incident in Vaughan. 

The fire occurred on Saturday, June 28, 2025, just before 11 p.m., on Yellowood Circle. Officers responded to reports of a vehicle ablaze and arrived to find the car had been deliberately set on fire. Vaughan Fire Services quickly attended and extinguished the flames. 

Surveillance footage captured a black Cadillac CT4 driving eastbound on Yellowood Circle before turning around. Two suspects then exited the vehicle, retrieved a bag from the trunk, and placed it on the hood of the victim’s car. The bag was set on fire before the suspects fled the scene in the Cadillac. The driver of the getaway vehicle remained inside and has not been identified. 

Police have released descriptions of the suspects. The first suspect is described as a white male, seen wearing a brown baseball hat, a blue and white jacket, and dark pants. The second suspect is also described as a white male, last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and dark pants.  

The York Regional Police #4 District Criminal Investigations Bureau continues to investigate and is urging anyone with information, including witnesses or those with security footage, to come forward.
