Investigators from the Major Collision Bureau have arrested and charged a Mississauga man in connection with a serious four-vehicle collision that occurred in Brampton on Saturday, July 5, 2025.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 50 and Coleraine Drive. Three people were taken to hospital, with one 21-year-old male suffering critical, life-altering injuries and remaining in unstable condition.
The driver accused of causing the collision, 58-year-old Koushal Kasiram of Mississauga, is facing multiple charges, including:
- Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm
- Driving with Excess Blood Alcohol
- Three counts of Prohibited Driving
Kasiram, a five-time repeat offender for impaired driving, was reportedly under three separate lifetime driving bans at the time of the crash. He was held for a bail hearing and later released by the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton with strict conditions, including a prohibition on operating any motor vehicle.
