Peel Regional Police have arrested a Brampton man in connection with a series of thefts targeting major retailers.
On Monday, March 9, officers from 12 Division concluded a three-month investigation into retail theft and distribution by executing a search warrant at a Brampton residence. During the search, police recovered a significant quantity of stolen goods, including:
- 300 bottles of alcohol
- 100 bricks of butter
- 91 tubs of ghee
The total retail value of the recovered property is estimated at approximately $30,000.
Forty-eight-year-old Pintu Gohil of Brampton has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime. Gohil was released from custody on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on April 7.
