Durham Regional Police are intensifying their search for two men suspected of fatally shooting 30-year-old Michael Nigris in Oshawa. The investigation, ongoing since the March 30, 2023, incident, has now escalated with a $15,000 reward for information leading to their arrest.
Police say Nigris was found shot in a parking lot near King Street West and Park Road at approximately 8:25 p.m. Despite life-saving efforts at the scene, he was pronounced dead.
The suspects fled in a stolen black Ford F150 Raptor, later recovered on Dundee Avenue. Both men are believed to have links to the Lawrence Avenue West and Keele Street area in Toronto.
Descriptions of the suspects:
- Suspect 1: Male, Black, wearing a black surgical mask, dark hooded Puma sweatshirt, black Puma jogging pants, and black Air Force One shoes.
- Suspect 2: Male, Black, with short dreadlocks, glasses, black hooded Champion sweatshirt, black pants, and black running shoes.
Police had earlier released images of the two suspects thought to be involved in the shooting, but the case has yet to result in any arrests.
