10-Year-old boy killed in tragic three-vehicle crash in Hamilton

Hamilton, Ontario-A devastating three-vehicle collision in Hamilton has claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy and left several others injured. The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday near Trinity Church Road and Guyatt Road. 

According to Hamilton Police, the driver of a GMC Sierra attempted to pass another pickup truck at high speed, crossing the center line and colliding head-on with an oncoming Honda Civic. The impact pushed the Civic backward into the path of a northbound Ford Explorer, which then veered off the road and into a ditch. 

All four occupants of the Honda Civic were injured in the crash. Tragically, a 10-year-old passenger later died in hospital. Two other passengers remain in critical condition, while one sustained minor injury. Three people in the GMC Sierra also suffered minor injuries. 

The Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation, and the roadway remains closed for several hours.

Hamilton Police have extended their heartfelt condolences to the families affected by this tragic incident.
