Gurdev Singh Grewal migrated to Canada in 1968 and is a pioneer in Toronto’s South Asian community. He has witnessed many firsts for the South Asians in Toronto. The first gurdwara, the first Indian grocery store, and has seen the transition in minimum wages to rise in the number of immigrants. Shameel Jasvir speaks with Gurdev Singh Grewal about his journey in Canada.
