Brampton council has declared health-care emergency in the city amid hospital overcrowding and unreal wait times. Could systemic racism be one of the reasons why the City of Brampton is facing such discrimination? Health care advocacy group Concerned Ontario Doctors (COD) believes institutional racism has played a large role in Brampton’s chronic health-care underfunding and ongoing health-care emergency.
